In case you missed it, I recently announced the publication of the omnibus edition of my three-book series - My K-Drama Life: The Complete Trilogy. Today I have another announcement - the paperback is now live on Amazon, and will be coming to other online retailers soon. This edition has gorgeous new cover art and is more affordable than buying the three books separately. It’s the perfect Christmas gift for K-drama fans!
In other news:
I’ve finished the draft of my new book! Clocking in at 94,556 words, it’s the longest thing I’ve ever written. I’m fully expecting the final draft to be around 120,000 words, because I’m an under-writer and will likely add a lot during edits, but I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Hooray!
Listening to Taylor Swift’s new album. My fave tracks are “Karma,” “Question… ?” and “Maroon.” These have been on non-stop rotation in my head since I first listened to them.
I’m on a spring cleaning kick. YouTube “clean with me” videos are my fuel.
Finally set up a mini garden on my balcony for herbs and vegetables. So worth it.

The Enduring Allure of Choose Your Own Adventure Books [The New Yorker]
You were a girl who wanted to choose your own adventures. Which is to say, you were a girl who never had adventures. You always followed the rules. But, when you ate an entire sleeve of graham crackers and sank into the couch with a Choose Your Own Adventure book, you got to imagine that you were getting into trouble in outer space, or in the future, or under the sea.
Coming to Terms with Reading Less [Book Riot]
When you are actively keeping track of how much you read, sometimes it can feel like a failure to see your reading numbers decrease. Especially when you keep a social presence among bookish circles, and you realise you don’t have as much content to share.
But this is a reminder that reading for fun is supposed to be fun. And stay fun.
How Colleen Hoover Rose to Rule the Best-Seller List [NY Times]
Colleen Hoover has sold more books this year than Dr. Seuss. She’s sold more books than James Patterson and John Grisham — combined.
To say she’s currently the best-selling novelist in the United States, to even compare her to other successful authors who have landed several books on the best seller lists, fails to capture the size and loyalty of her audience.
Amazon Changes Kindle Ebook Return Policy, Ends Lending Between Kindle Uwers, and More [Book Riot]
Amazon has been quietly making a series of changes to their Kindle policies regarding ebook returns, lending between users, ebook formats, and more. What’s afoot at Amazon, and what’s the future of Kindle?
What I read
The Ink Black Heart
by Robert Galbraith
While I object to some of the author’s views, I’m still heavily invested in this series. IMO, The Ink Black Heart was still enjoyable, but one of the weakest books in the series to date. I also worked out who the culprit was extremely quickly and easily. Not a great follow up to Troubled Blood, which was excellent.
Earthly Delights
by Kerry Greenwood
A fun, breezy read that's part cozy mystery, part chick lit, set in a quirky apartment building in Melbourne with a baker protagonist. I enjoyed it despite a few of its tropes not vibing with me (instalove, curvy protagonist) and the pacing is breakneck fast. I did enjoy it reasonably well, but I don’t think I’ll continue with the series right now.
