Dear reader,
It's been a little while since my last newsletter. I missed the previous two—the first because I couldn’t come up with anything to say, and the second because I was sick.
Colds, flu, and COVID-19 have been making their rounds here in NZ. I had to take four days off work/writing to recover from flu, and basically did nothing during that time. The forced rest turned out to be much-needed. Maybe I was a bit burnt out. Those few days off gave me a reset, and I've been far more productive since then.
On the writing front, I've finished the first round of editing for my upcoming novel, Clashing with the CEO. I'm now working through the second edit to fine-tune the prose. After this, it will go to my copy editor, Lindsay. While I'm about 10 days behind schedule, I think I can make up that time without needing to delay the release (so far so good!).
Outside of editing, I've been taking things slower—going for walks around the neighborhood and keeping up with household chores. A few weeks ago, I went for a longer walk, trying to find little free libraries. Of the four sites I visited, only one was still active. I didn’t take any books, but it was still a fun little way to get out of the house for a while.
